I am a Brighton based freelance visual artist and printmaker operating under the pseudonym Moatzart. My work has pop art and surrealist art humour with an old masters' feel. In the future, I am to collaborate with other artists and expand the work that happens under Moatzart.

I am a recent graduate of the Fine Art Critical Practice course at Brighton University. I come from a background in painting and printmaking. Since I discovered art, I have not looked back. There is nothing in the world that excites me, challenges, and entices me more than this discipline. The course at Brighton showed me that with enough research and hard work, your practice can expand. It taught me that you can be daring, and realise your ideas no matter how big. I learned how to apply art theory and criticism to my work successfully.

Throughout, I have studied philosophy, political theory, literature, creative writing, art history, and theory and I have developed excellent communication skills. I have written essays about deskilling, appropriation art, Hirst's Diamond Skull as the Absolute Commodity, the practice of Renzo Martens, and my dissertation investigated the potential exploitation of the audience in relational and participatory art practices through authorship, as well as how to use authorship as a political tool.

I have a lot of experience working in the arts and culture sector, with both commercial and charitable arts organisations, with a focus on marketing, however I lost a lot of this work in March due to Covid. Therefore, I decided to kickstart my business of selling my prints and use those skills for my own venture.
